After starting in the trade as a 17 year old in 1998, it was always an ambition to start my own business but never quite made that dream into reality.
After lockdown and meeting my partner Kate, after a slightly tipsy evening with friends we thought, "let's make this into a reality!"
As I'm a proud Bovey local, born and raised, there was only one place we wanted to do it. It's been a big family and friends affair getting this project off the ground, from seven hours in a van picking up massive machines from Kent and Bristol,
fun experiences of getting them into the shop itself, building the counters, to climbing up wobbly ladders and painting the front of the shop!
Without their help we wouldn't be even close to turning the shop into what we hope will be a staple of Bovey Tracey for many years to come.
Kate and I are incredibly proud of the opportunity to be part of the community, to offer the best service and quality for everyone in the town and all the surrounding areas.
Many Thanks
Gary & Kate

Big step in picking up all the machines, left us more than a little exhausted!

We all managed to pack the machines inside the workshop.

Some wobbly ladders and scary moments, but the front of the shop was sanded down and painted, ready for the sign to be
put up.

A few adjustments had to be done to the sign but up the wobbly ladder again and all was sorted

After a clean up and rubbish thrown away, a few additions to the counters, the stock can finally start coming out
